Project Play is for anyone who enjoys being on stage, acting or being part of a production in any capacity. The project offers local enthusiasts a superb opportunity to be involved in a professional approach to staging a popular play that aims to attract a wide ranging audience- this year’s production is popular sitcom Dad’s Army.

The project is genuinely community based and as such it does not involve joining fees and subscriptions for participants. The project also raises money for charity through its work. On-stage roles are obtained through an audition process, but the project also invites Directors, Stage Managers, Stage Crew, Costumiers, Assistants and basically anyone who would like to be involved in the project.

The read-through is an opportunity to hear the script and get an idea of how this wonderful title has been brought to the stage. Participants will get the chance to read in and hear the script.

There will also be some printed audition parts and information. All audition parts, dates, and forms are available on Project Play’s Facebook page. Participants are encouraged to look at this material ahead of the read-through as there is quite a small gap between read-through and audition sessions.
